Why India need more colleges?
India has only 1.34 doctors per 1000 citizens. This was the main cause that the Indian medical system failed under the pressure of the second wave in India. Almost 16 lakh students sit for the NEET-UG examination in India but only 79,855 seats are available in 542 medical colleges which means only 1 out of 20 people who sit for the exam get admission in a medical college. The pressure of population in India has increased far more than the available infrastructure. Every second student in India aspires to be a engineer that is 70 lakh students every year. but only 24 lakh engineering seats are available in entire India. The problem is simple India needs more colleges. The progress of our country has been inhibited and crippled by the lack of undergraduate eduction. The government needs to develop more premiere institutions in India in order to ensure the growth of Indian economy.
